Project summary

Bryan Wood has run B. Woody's Tree Service for 20+ years across Saint Charles County, but his old GoDaddy site was actively working against him. GSC showed 155 pages crawled but not indexed, 49 with no canonical tag at all, and 5 returning 404s. The cause: 79 blog posts sharing a single identical meta description, a homepage H1 targeting St. Peters instead of Saint Charles, and a schema @id pointing to a broken GoDaddy internal UUID instead of the actual domain. Layered on top: an unauthorized second Google Business Profile under his business name, which we later got removed after a months-long case with Google support. We rebuilt on the Stand Up platform with correct county-level targeting, dedicated service pages for all 6 services, 2 county location pages listing the cities and ZIP codes served, proper LocalBusiness schema, and CIPA/CCPA-compliant cookie consent. Mobile Lighthouse performance jumped from 53 to 96. The old site had 1 page indexed in Google. The new site hit 14 pages in the first GSC crawl.

Google Business Profile work

Bryan's GBP had never been fully optimized. We cleaned it up top-to-bottom at launch.

  • Services: trimmed a bloated ~22-item list to 7 clean, keyword-focused entries with individual descriptions
  • Description: 628-character version live, front-loads services + towns, owner-operated, 20+ years, bonded & insured, free estimates, 24/7 emergency
  • Service area: expanded to 17 areas covering all 8 St. Charles County core towns + a focused St. Louis County set (Cottleville added)
  • "Offers online estimates" attribute enabled
  • Unauthorized second listing removed: a Google Business Profile someone else had opened under B. Woody's name was taken down after a months-long case with Google support

Customers searching for B. Woody's now find only the real, verified profile and its reviews.
