Privacy Policy

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.
• We do not use automated dialers, prerecorded messages or robocalls.
• We do not send marketing email to people who have not been in touch with us.

When you send a bid request from our bid builder (including a quick quote), we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your company name
• Your current website address, when you are asking us to rebuild an existing site
• What you picked in the builder: plan and term, starting point (new site or rebuild), services, features and page counts
• Any notes you add, or your description of what you need in a quick quote
• Whether you checked the optional box agreeing to text messages about your bid

We use this information to price your bid, to email you a copy of it, and to contact you about it. We do not sell it.

With each bid request we also record, so that we have evidence of what you agreed to and can spot spam:

• The date and time you sent it, and a request ID
• The contact notice you saw next to the send button (its version and full text) and your text message choice
• Your IP address and browser user agent
• The page you sent it from, the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the Site. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects device type and pages visited (see section 3). We use this in aggregate to understand Site usage; we do not use it to identify you.

Subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. When you complete a subscription checkout, Stripe collects your name, email, and payment card details directly. UNTAP WEB does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe shares your name and email with us to confirm the transaction and initiate your onboarding.

After subscribing, you are invited to complete a client onboarding info sheet at /onboard. This form collects information needed to build your website, including:

• Business description, ideal customer, and service area
• Competitor website URLs (for reference only)
• Brand color preferences and logo status
• Website copy and photo preferences
• Any specific features or integrations requested

This information is sent directly to our team via email and is used solely to design and build your website. It is not stored in any database and is not shared with third parties.

When you run the site check on one of our blog posts, we collect:

• The website address you typed
• Your email address
• The blog post you ran it from

To run the check, our server fetches the public home page and the robots.txt file of the website address you entered. It reads only what any visitor or search engine can read, and we do not keep a copy of those files. We email the results to you and send the request (your email address, the website address and the results) to Untap Web, LLC. We use it to send you your results, and Chris may contact you once by email about what we found. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell your information. Site check requests are kept as email for up to 4 years (see section 7).

On your first visit a cookie banner asks what you allow: Accept All, Essential Only, or your own choice under Manage preferences. Until you choose, Google tags run in Google Consent Mode with every category denied, and Google Analytics does not load at all. Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics.

• Necessary (always on): what the Site needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice and the bid you are building.
• Functional: remembers preferences across visits.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages are used and how visitors find us. Off unless you allow it.
• Marketing: not used today. We keep this category so that, if we ever advertise (for example with Google Ads remarketing), it stays off unless you have allowed it. We will update this policy before we use it.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it: we save the Essential Only setting for you and do not show the banner.

Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page to see the banner again and change your choice.

The Site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It keeps these items in your browser, on your device only:

• cookie-consent-v2 (localStorage): your cookie choice and when you made it.
• untap-bid-list-v2 (localStorage): the bid you are building, so it survives a reload. "Start over" clears it, and so does sending your bid.
• untap-bid-contact-v1 (sessionStorage): the contact details you typed into the bid builder, until you close the tab.
• untap-attribution-v1 (sessionStorage): the page you landed on, the site that referred you and any campaign (UTM) tags, until you close the tab. Sent to us only with a bid request.
• untap:stale-reload (sessionStorage): the page address and time of an automatic reload after a site update, so the page reloads at most once. Kept until you close the tab.

You can delete these at any time in your browser settings.

When you send a bid request, you agree to the notice shown next to the send button: By sending this request, you agree that Untap Web, LLC may contact you about it by email, and by phone call or text message if you entered a number. We may also email you now and then about our services and plan upgrades. Reply to any email or text and ask us to stop, and we will. We never sell your information. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Chris calls and texts by hand, from his own phone. Text messages are about your request, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts. For help, call (314) 504-1142 or email services@untapweb.com. You can also ask us to stop calling or emailing you at any time (see section 9).

The phone number on the bid form is optional. You can send a bid without it. We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties for their marketing.

We may occasionally email our clients and people who have asked us for a bid about our services (for example, a plan upgrade). If you run the site check, we may email you once about what we found, and we will not add you to a list. Every such email identifies us, includes our postal address and has an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. We never buy email lists or email people who have not been in touch with us.

Bid requests (including the request record in section 2.2) are kept as email for up to 4 years, so we have a record of the consent you gave. Site check requests (section 2.6) are kept as email for up to 4 years as well. Active client information is retained for the duration of our engagement and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and tax purposes.

We use industry-standard third-party providers for hosting and email. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable Missouri and federal law.
